Andrea...you can make flax crackers by putting them in the oven on the lowest temp. If you want to keep them truly raw and try to do it without a dehydrator, set the oven temp for the lowest setting and leave the oven door open a crack. It should be close to the right temp. Here is a recipe for some fancy ones...
http://goneraw.com/recipes/10-Tomato-Cilantro-Flax-Cracker
They are super simple though...and cheap to make! Here is a simpler recipe: http://www.living-foods.com/recipes/flaxcrackers.html
Replace Braggs with soy sauce or raw soy sauce (nama shoyu).

Aimee...sorry about the gas! This recipe has actually been great for us...so it just goes to show that you have to do what YOUR body wants! For me, chickpeas are the ultimate gas producers!

Amber...tahini is sesame seed butter and can be found at any grocery store, usually by the peanut butters, but sometimes in the specialty organic and/or ethnic sections. I don't LOVE the taste of it, but it gives great creaminess. I usually cut back the amount the recipe calls for ... but some people ADORE tahini and eat it straight like a dip. :)

big ouch-ola. made this DELICIOUS hummus today but got horrible gas/bloating/diarrhea. Squash, zucchini, and cucumbers all do that to me, but I thought since it was processed it might make it more digestible. Nope, it was bad. So I will envy squash hummus eaters from afar and stick with the chickpeas :)

Hi Abby!
Yay for adding fruits and veggies! Yes, Vitamixes are great for so much more than just smoothies. The main difference between the models is that the more expensive ones do grains and knead dough. You can see more comparisons on their website...just click on the Vitamix logo on my sidebar or on top toolbar. If you do end up getting one...just make sure you give them my affiliate number.

Thanks so much!
