this is perfect timing, as I have been considering going raw again. I will be visiting family on Aug. 3, 4 and 5, so I may start on the 6th. I don’t want to start on a weekend were I will be expected to eat my normal vegetarian fare. It would be extra hard to start while I am away from home! I’m so excited!

Ah-ha….I see that she encourages raw at a any level, so I’ll start on the 1st, and do my best while away! 🙂

I signed up! I’m kittles, shockingly enough.

I’ve actually been rawing it up for the last few weeks to some degree. I thought it would fit well with my marathon training, but I’m having some issues with the incredible gnawing hunger. How does one deal with being bottomless and raw?

Words to Eat By

"It is easier to change a man's religion than to change his diet." -Margaret Mead

"I don't understand why asking people to eat a well-balanced vegetarian diet is considered drastic, while it is medically conservative to cut people open and put them on cholesterol lowering drugs for the rest of their lives." - Dean Ornish, MD

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
